My instructor provided a detailed explanation of the color wheel. monochromatic, analogous, complementary, split complementary, triadic, square, and rectangle (or tetradic). She taught me how to stretch paint and helped me to create a Picasso type of work with playdoh.

Title or Location: Whispers behind the veil of flowers
Whispers behind the veil of flowers is an original mixed media oil painting on 30x40? gallery canvas. Whispers Behind the Veil of Flowers is a deeply personal piece that embodies the interplay between femininity and the natural world. Inspired by my own journey of self-discovery, this artwork explores the themes of resilience, beauty, and connection. At the heart of this painting is the figure of a woman, within a glass vase, partially veiled by delicate flowers, symbolizing both protection a

Title or Location: Diver Restored
This piece was painted to honor the craft of mechanical watches, which has survived for centuries and even through the digital and A.I. age. This design was based on the 1953 Blancpain 50 Fathoms, the first diver's watch. I wanted to capture the spirit of the design, as it is brought to original specs and into the sea environment for which it was engineered. The depiction of light through fluid, and the refraction and distortion of solidity, was a technical challenge that I happily explored.
