REVIEWS
My instructor provided a detailed explanation of the color wheel. monochromatic, analogous, complementary, split complementary, triadic, square, and rectangle (or tetradic). She taught me how to stretch paint and helped me to create a Picasso type of work with playdoh.

This is my most recent practice piece. I'm still very new to all this, so I followed one of Tim Gagnon's you tube free "follow along" lessons.( Had to learn how to do that as well)This is my version of that. Great learning aid and will do some if his others.

Clouds fascinate me, constantly changing shape and color. This painting is of the front pasture with a dash of artistic license. The willow tree towers in the middle of a wet weather creek and begged to be painted.(There is no box for my website, so I hesitated to input it, but would appreciate a mention if allowed....FeliciaLWhite.com. Thanks.)

I love painting little creatures. I have been a working artist all of my life but never had the chance to perfect my skills in artistry. Now that I am retired, I find myself painting something every day with acrylics, watercolors, and or inks. I started painting on terracotta pots, then started making my hand-crafted paper to paint on, and then to tea bags and now painting little ornaments. My friends say that I paint on anything but canvas. This is true!

Title or Location: The Big Stage
This painting hung on my wall for about two years and was originally just the little girl with glasses, but I knew it just wasn't working. About two months ago, inspired by a Degas ballerina painting, I decided to rework, adding more young girls and the hint of an audience in the foreground. I am much happier with it now, but maybe that's because the little girl with glasses is my granddaughter. &129392

The painting captures a striking maple tree standing among a grove of its kind, yet it bears a stark contrast to the others. Half of the tree appears lifeless, its branches skeletal and dark, while the other half clings to vibrancy, its leaves ablaze with autumn?s fiery hues. The wood itself tells a story?its colors shifting from deep black to a rich cherry hue, as if preserving the warmth of life. The leaves, seemingly aware of their fleeting time, have turned color earlier than the rest, glow
